I Bought the T34 as there seems to be alot of panzers out there !- i wanted something al ittle different, plus the tank was bought really as a big boys toy, a plaything !- i have often considered buying a huge tamiya truck and trailer or a tank but was always put off by the cost.....
when i saw this trumpeter tank and the price on ebay then i thought what the hell !- having helped my pal do the bits for his tank diarama i suppose my ' leaning ' towards getting a tank rather than a truck was strengthened.... but at the end of the day it is really just a plaything !
i will however make a diarama for the tank, having helped with the block stone one for the friends sherman, i am now planning to make a brick building diarama for my tank, the same ' bombed out' building style backdrop/ diarama but something different, - also producing some accessories such as jerry cans and drums and sandbags for the diarama, , i have also just bought some large scale trees from an architectural modelling supplies place, - big scale trees, brass armatures and all ready to go in the diarama, - as per usual i have too many half completed projects on the go right now so have no idea when i will ever complete the diarama but most the bits are there now !- just need to complete the tank and weathering too !- just not enough hours in the day !

What you intend to do sounds very good, easpcaily with the casting in resin, somthing I have never tried, that's why I can't wait to go to the world model show in November and just see some of the possibilities, with weathering technique's and making dioramas and getting some new ideas, then get information and use it. But, the show seems along time coming?

Regards Mike.
