Unhappy King Tiger vs 6 channel HiTec Help Please

Hi, all as this is my first post on your forum I will try and keep this as short as I can !
I purchased a Tam King Tiger (Full Op) for Christmas together with a Hi Tec 6 channel tx/rx (I will be adding mods as the time goes by).
For the life of me I cannot get the main gun or the machine gun to fire.
I push the right side FWD/RVS control trim forward (the tank starts creeping forward) and push the left hand control forward (the gun elevates) and push the right hand control stick forward and all it does is shoot forward very quickly with the gun rising....this frightens the hell out of the cat....Please could someone explain the correct procedure for firing the main gun and machine gun! ( I am currently banging my head againsnt the wall).
Thanks

ok bud
i`ve built the tamiya tiger1 but i presume that the king tiger will have teh same operation.

first of all, i believe there waqs a misprint in teh tamiya instructions on the tiger as to the connections on teh multi control unit giving problems with operation.

operation should be as follows....

tank forward -- left stick forward
tank back --- left stick back
tank left --- left stick pushed left then forwrd ( you are introducing
throttle to teh mixer)
tank right --- opposite of above

turret turn --- right stick left or right
gun elevation----right stick up or down
machine gun fire----- right stick up down trim, pulled down then pull the stick down immediately after recentering the trim, this sounds complicated but is easy to do .
Main gun fire ---- push the trim up an dback to centre then push teh right stick up .

i hope this helps , let me know if you have any other queries as to changingthe channels over, i`ll open mine up and have a look.

Adz..

My head hurts

Tried your suggestion, every which way I could and still no joy.
However I did discover the recoil/gun flash test switch on the dmd. switched it on and it works. So I know the dmd unit definately controls/works the recoil. Now it is just a matter of getting a signal from the transmitter to the dmd. The tx/rx set I am using is the laser 6

RECEIVER PLUGS (1TO ch1, 2TO ch2, etc) - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/DSC00135.jpg

Thankyou for you help so far. I am completely lost on this one. Anymore thoughts and ideas would be welcome.

when firing either gun try pushing the trim tab then moving the stick directly after it in teh same direction

so for example...
push the left stick forward back trim straight forward then immediately after push the stick forward, this `should` fire the main gun. then the same operation down the way for the machine gun,
so it`s push trim lever forward and then push stick forward .

let me know how you get on otherwise we`ll have to disengage the reciever and connect one channel at a time to source the problem

I'll try that later tonight. I have given up for today due to flat batteries (theres only so many times you can raise and lower the gun without it firing, ). I suppose its not all bad, she goes like a rocket. Snapped a track after the first 100 meters (just like the real thing! lol). Loosened the tension a bit and she seems to run a little better although the tracks now slip on the sprocket going up hill. Metal tracks should solve that next week.
I'll get some pictures posted for ya NigeD when she looks a little more worthy of this site. She's only half painted at the moment and I won't be painting the undercarriage untill I get all the upgrades. (I have gone for Saumur museum'ish colours.

Hi all, I'm new on the site and just posted the same question this thread deals with, I'm a total novice. How do you swap the left, right sticks around on the receiver. Everything you say happened to your tank happens to mine so I'll be re reading this thread thoroughly tonight and trying your solutions.

regards
Alan
