| if i remember squiffy i think that it`s a bit tight for a 8.4 pack to sit, as i`m sure they sit on top of each other, dont there`s really a need for 8.4 as there`s plenty power from 7.2, the control unit does everything, so no seperate ESc`s.
it mixes, does speed control, controls gun, noises etc etc . |

| As you can see from the pictures i have put switches in for smoke/lights etc. I have just had a thought, i have two spare channels (5&6) on my transmitter, is there like a switch that i can buy that will plug into the reciever that will do the job. probably a stupid question, but i am kinda new to r /c stuff. |

| It all depends on how many channels your receiver has. Assuming it is the same as the transmitter and there are two spare channels you can plug in anything you want that can then be operated from your spare channels.
You can add a servo that can be used to operate anything you care to make it do such as make a crew member pop out of a hatch, move the machine gun or anything else you can think of or you can add a switch unit and use it to operate lights, sounds, smoke etc. The possibilities are endless if you have the slots on the receiver. You can easily check by looking at the plugs already in the receiver. The row of sockets will be numbered and each of course corresponds to the channel that will operate that socket.
If the receiver and transmitter were bought as a set it will have the same number of sockets available.
Space is usually the limiting factor but with micro-servo's nowadays it is amazing what can be done. |

| tx and rx both 6 channel. Tam tiger takes up 4 slots on the rx and there are 3 empty slots. I just need to know what a simple on/off switch is called in r/c terms that will plug into one of the empty slots.so i can go and buy a couple. The tx/rx set came with 6 servo's, i could rig them to push or pull a manual switch , but it seems a bit long winded. |

| if your looking to control electrical circuits tc then there are rc switch units available i know electronize do some and so do hunter systems.
basically a relay unit controlled via the Rx output they are limited in their control side ( depending on make about 3 amps).
havce a look on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBMARINE-BOAT...QQcmdZViewItem
this is the sort of thing.
alternatively on a budget , a servo with a long`ish arm on it and micro switch`s placed aorund teh arc of the arm , as the arm go`s past then the switch gets triggered and function becomes live.
there are otherways, but theyre the main types.
