Ebay is not much good for this as you need to see and feel the quality of the brush to decide if it is what you want.

I always buy ones with the protective plastic tube over the end so that it doesn't end up getting bent in storage but that's just me.

For things like lights made of solid plastic, paint the lens silver first then paint a clear orange/red/clear paint over it. It will actually look quite acceptable in 1/72nd. Tamiya do those paints in their acrylic range.

My local craft shop has packs of brushes made by a company called Loew-Cornell. They come in round and flat and are either Sable or Golden Nylon. They cost about 4 pound and are very good value and quality. The packs are in clear/ blue sets of 4 or 5 and last for ages with no loss of bristle.

Thanks for the advice. I'll forget about ebay and have a look in that art/craft shop near me.

Bunkerbarge - cheers for the tip about the lights, im sure it'll come in handy sometime

One other question...

I've noticed some colours you need require you to mix 2 colours together, at say 65% of one to 35% of another, how do you go about accurately mixing those percentages?

I 110% second that, both sables being the best and humbrol/10 for 99p style the worst!

Is this challenger a revamped matchbox? looks very similar!
