my first tank

this is my first tank, an airfix 1/72 m4 sherman. please feel free to comment and give tips for the future.

Nice work, last 1/72 tank I did ended up in the bin I got frustrated with it, and moved to a bigger scale

lol john, i have nearly done that before!!!

i never do 1/72...not because its too fiddly but it just like em bigger!!!

(my musashi is huge but seeing as the real thing was beebing huge its still got lots of very fiddly bits!!!

a very nice sherman there!!! reminds me of the ones my dad used to make back in the 60's! (little airfix ones i think!)

i also think that i am going to move to a larger scale, my eyes were watering as i was building it. i am working on another 1/72 airfix Sturmgescutz GIII 75mm assault gun, that i bought at the same time. but after i finsh it i am going to try a larger scale.

Not bad at all only thing i could advise, is painting the tracks a rust colour or something like that, i reckon it'd make it look alot more realistic and really finish it off.

paint them xf-64 metallic grey! then maybe drybrush rust colour in areas you might think would get rusty!!
