i had started, all of three of these about a week ago, and we had some rain today so i finshed the two that i posted today.

ive used a air brush on a few planes but these are brush painted.

can you tell that i broke the barell? and look at the spare tracks they need to be touched up, badly.

yes you can tell you broke the barrel but nevermind and in the learning curve!!! if you can take the tracks off i advise you paint the tamiya's XF-56 Metallic Grey it looks really good once dry!!!

ive had trouble buying tamiya paint it the states, but im sure they have a web sight you can buy off of. i mostly use a paint brand called testors. but will defintly look into the tamiya paint.

Testors is good paint but remember that Tamiya is acrylic and Testors is enamel.

Thats what the tracks on my SdKfz 124 Wespe looked like aswell (check my post in this section) i painted them black in the end though and it looks much better in my opinion.

Nice model though and i never noticed any broken barrel..i still cant see it lol

thanks Richard im going to try the tamiya paint. i know that acrylic is easy to clean out of a brush!

yup just use plain old water!!!

and have an old rag/flannel to wip off any excess paint or water!

or you could go for the other option and use acrylic thinners....a more expencive options (tamiya do a bottle for about $8) but you can use it for ever. only problem is you have to keep it in a seeled jar/container as for a start it will evoporate and secondly it will either nock you out or give you such a bad head ache you will end up smashing the model your working on up!!!

richard uses acrylic thinners to clean his brushed....ask him how he does it!
