HI, just sprayed the sherman with spray matt varnish and I'm not that happy with the result. It's not dry yet but does look like it's going to have a bit of a shine on it.
Any idea where I can get "testors" or what is the best "UK" option??

Cheer's ,

Howdy Gaz,

Well, I did a google search for "testors dullcote in scotland" and one of the results was this thread lol. But, seriuosly, if there is a hobby shop close to you, or something like a walmart maybe, better yet, where ever you bought the model should have testors dullcote or should be able to get it for you.
Personally, I would start with the place you bought the model. if they dont have it, stop one of the clerks and ask them to order some.
Now, as for the "matte" finish spray laquer. There are several types of finishes that can be bought in the spray paint aisle of most stores. High gloss, Gloss, semi gloss, matte, satin and flat finishes. Testors dullcote is a "flat finish". Any finish other than "flat" will have some shine to it.
You can order the dullcote online from online hobby stores, however, I dont know how you do it in scotland, here in the US, they can not ship aerosols via "air mail"....it has to be a ground shipment which take a few days longer.
Ya know I just had a thought, send squiffy the squrrel a pm, I bet he could get it to you, he has a hobby shop from what I understand. And he is in the UK somewhere.
One other thing, even though you sprayed the model with the matte finish, dont worry, when you get the dullcote, you can spray it again and achieve great results.

I know I didnt give you any specific place to purchase the dullcote in this posting, but I do hope it was of some help to you. Trust me, somewhere in Scotland, there is a can of testors dullcote for sale.

have a good day,

Greg
