Deakon! The scale of this model is 1:16, most typical scale for vehicles are 1:25, for planes 1:33/1:35, and for ships I think the most common scale is 1:200.

This is going to be the engine room. The assembly of this part was straight forward.Glue to 1mm karton and put together.

So the funny part starts....
There are a lot of parts involved here. Some of the parts are cutted out and glued to karton. Some pieces are 3mm thick....

Here I have glued the frame together and checking if the other parts fit.And a overview

Small strips glued, and the Bulbe in place. If you look closely you can see that I have put on some 0,6mm nuts on part 4d, to make it look more real.
I have ordered papernuts from DrafModel to use in my builds.they come in various sizes from 0,6mm up to 2,5mm with or without centerhole.

This tiny part are going into this

Parts glued together

Placed the upper part to see the result.I'm not quite happy with this result, I could have been more thorough with my cutting, but with some grinding paper it came out in a way.....

Johnny, people tend to forget that you can easily sand card, especially the thicker variety.

That right Wonwinglo! I use sandpaper all the time for touch up, and for "softening edges"

The rear fenders was built up of outer and inner parts.
To make the "round" shape it is used some halfround parts, with no "flips" for gluing, so some picky work was to be expected....

Here I have glued the upper part to the lower frame and laminated the outer and inner fender.

Started to put on the second fernderside

That part went fairly well.put the rear section into place just to see how it fits.I have also glued the sides to the floor here

So it was time for this little bugger.....

That went well also

The second rear fender, glued the rear part to the frame, finished the rear part of the kardan tunnel.

Also glued the underside of the hood to the frame.
Here is an overview of the progress at that point.

Storage compartment.

The drawings

It's not glued on place yet.Have to make the rear hatch first and glue the "hinges" under the top cover.

So it was time for edgepainting........I use Humbrol army green nr 102 for the greenish and some custom made waterbased indoor paint for the rest.
I brought a print of the colour to the colourshop and they scanned it and made an almost perfect match.

And there are a lot of paperstrips to paint.......

Closeup

Finished.

The rear hatch behind the engine

Parts are cuted out

And rear hatch is assembled and painted.

Hatches glued into place and top cover mounted

The hatches are glued in place and the part 51 is mounted.
There was no drawing of that part, it was kind of self explaining...
The part 51 is some kind of cover over the top of the rear end.

The front hatch in open position

The rear hatch in open position

Overview of the opened hatches

Closeup of the rear hatch

I'm also placing 0,6mm nuts around the top cover instead of the painted ones...

Thanks a lot for your nice words guys!!

Making of the back seat.

The drawing shows that each seat part is built up of 3 pieces of 1mm cardstock.

All parts are glued to 1mm karton exept from the "grid" part 47f that is glued to 0,2mm karton and of course the seat covering that is 80g plain paper.Parts cutted out and are ready for mounting

The front support for the seat is made of 1,8mm welding rod....I drilled 1,8mm holes in the sides and glued it into place after some paint was applied.

Seatparts are glued into place.I did some grinding work on the seat to make it look more used, with some kind of "butt marks" on the seat.It doesn't show wery well on the pics.....but the glue stain does, so don't look to much at that one
