I still can't believe how 'substantial' this is looking. I get the impression that this is quite a rigid structure and the detail is beyond what I would have expected in a card model.

I like the dash board detail particularly. Is that all the kit or are there some of your own additions as well?

I once did a windscreen and cut out two arcs of selotape and carefully placed them on the windscreen wipers. I then sprayed the mud/dust/dirt all over the vehicle and when all was dry removed the selotape.

I does look really effective.

Thanks for your kind words guys!!

The dashboard is in the kit, but i have added the knobs and made the "glass" over the speedometer. For dust i use chalkdust mixed of white chalk and some brown chalk and just drybrush it on to make the dusty look. For dirt (comes later) under fenders etc, I use dried coffee mixed with glue and chalkdusted to get the kind of old stuck mud look.

The work on the windscreen continues.Today I made the wiper motor, made the window hinges and stoppers for the upward position.Small work....but it has to be done.

The part to be used for the motor

Part assembled and the printed switch is to be replaced with the "knob"

Motor mounted

Window in upward position and downward position

The hinge and the stopper knob

Now I have started to work on the outer parts of the fenders.

Here are the parts to be used. The parts are laminated so it also will have color on the backside.

Edges are painted to avoid the white stripe along the joint

Here I have started to glue the biggest arch to the fender. It's a bit tricky to get it to be nice since there aren't any jointstrips or flips to glue the archer to.

The part is sucessfully glued in place

Next out will be this narrow arch....about 1mm thick.

Will be continued in a couple of days.....

Take a seat

Front seats was to be made today.

The drawing of the seats

Here I have cutted out all the parts for one seat.

First thing was to laminate the seatparts and the back parts.I have also marked on the seat where the buttmark will come.

I used my Dremel to carve out the "buttmarks" in the seats

The covers are aplyed, and the cushions are ready to be assembled into a seat.

The cushions are put into the frame

And we have a seat

The seats are connected to their "feets"

And placed into the car just to see how they fit.

The 'Buttmarks' are perfect and make a model stand out. They show that you care enough to notice these realistic touches and incorporate them into your models.

Superb again.

mmmnnphhhfffupphhhmmm........Speechless...i mean "hey thats good" just dosent cut it! and "Thats amazing" still dosent quite describe it...remarkable is a bit closer..but still........not quite.........unparallelled excelence! hmmmmm.
yes nearly but still dosent get accross the Incredulity that this model evokes in me..every glowing label you attatch to it..becomes meaningless when you realize that its a statement of fact..like the filligree work on faberge eggs.....a real class bit of work...
