Thanks Taylor!
The vehicle is almost finished, just a few more parts to do...

The pump was made today. I also made the "thing" besides the windscreen on the passengers side, and put a vent in the tire....

I was hoping to finish the car in this weekend....still a few hours left..

Finished!!

So at last the Kübel is done. This has been a very pleasant build since I first started it back in March and til today. The fit of the parts have been very good, I also think that the printing is very good. The kit contains over 950 parts, and everything have been right.
I'll split this post in two, and take a walkaround on the details first.

First pic shows the front, with the wire (that will be in steel color)
Next is the manual starter rod that hangs on the rear hatch
Third is the rear with the hatches almost closed. It was so much tension in the hinges that the hatches wouldn't stay closed....

First pic is the instrumentpanel, slightly modified
Next is a the rear licenceplate and the light
Third is the front wheel

Continues wirh a shot of the roofsystem with the canvastop rolled up.
So comes the fulel cap and the spare tire....and I also notice I have forgotten TO PAINT THE EDGES INSIDE THE WINDOW!!!!
Third pic is the rear suspension and one of the exhaust pots

First shot is of the front axel and suspension.
Second is sidemirror
Third is of the floor, gearhandle and handbrake

First pic is the details on the front with light, horn and showel
Second is the rear again with the exhaust pots and the reflex
Third is of the engine

I'm not sure how many hours I have spent on this build.....I started it back in March and I have worked on it at work when I have been on nightshifts and weekends when the workload has been equal to zero but a lot of time is spent, thats for sure.Thats also what I like with the papermodelling, it usually takes a while to complete a build, and for me the buildingprocess are the most important.I really enjoy this way to build models.

And here are the overview pictures.I just leave them without comments...

Not only is this an amazing model that has completely opened my eyes to the world of card models but it has also been a very interesting and well put together build thread.

I just want to thank you for taking the time and trouble to do this for us and allowed us to see just what is involved with the construction of this type of kit and what can be acheived.

I have really enjoyed following this and I now can't wait to see the diorama take shape with this and the Grief.

Thanks for your kind words Richard!

I'm starting to build the Pak40 cannon today, if I can get some quiet hours at work.....and the Greif is slowly creeping forward with me making hinges for the hatches at the front....

Anyone who knows the size of a sandbag from ww2 in 1:16 scale??
I have to make a lot of those for my diorama.
