I would just like to say its nice to be back making models again. after many months absent, Illness and other factors have kept me at bay, but with the dust sheets off and away I go.
I am dusting of a 1/16th Tam King Tiger which I started last year, the tam Tiger 56010. had a few problems, wiring and putting together. Has anyone found any little traps and tests in the construction of the King Tiger ?
I would be grateful of been pointed in the right direction.

Do not under any circumstance threadlock hex grub screws untill you are absolutely sure atht everything is correctly put together.
My only problems were with deciphering the Multi-function unit instruction...the set up instructions are not that accurate for firing /machine gun etc. especially as i am using 6 channel radio gear on mine. See my threads in the tanks section.
I also made a hash of putting the road wheels together, once gain instructions not clear enough. you will know if they are wrong if yor track doesnt line up properly. Sadly i didnt take any photos of them incorrectly put together (bit embarrasing).
If you decide to upgrade her with after market part, be carefull. Most of the netstores will rip you off good and proper.
A perfect instance of this is gearbox upgrade to slow the tiger to proper scale speed. All webstores charge around £80.00 and make out that they are specially built (utter tosh) the gear down mechanism is a stock tamiya part, I bought 8 for £50.00.

Thankyou for your help, I have looked at the other King tigers on the forum, 'stunning'.
Except for the main colour being sprayed on my the KT, I am a paint brush man, I am at the stage of wheels on, and painting the turret links, tools and boxes. I have had to empty all my draws and containers to remember where everything is, I didn't realise i had so much tools and paint and lots of odds and ends?. I have also spent a good 4-6hrs rereading the instructions and getting reacquianted with the KT. Finding out what I had painted and what needs painting. The brains getting back into the model making mode again, its something I didn't realise how much I have missed, I should of done this a couple of months ago.

Its coming on fine, the tanks up and running, just putting a few final touches and I will post some pictures. The king Tiger seems alot faster than the tiger?

I must admit mine does travel at a rate of knots too ! cant wait to see some piccys also please The other thing Mike is that im going to bring mine to Cosford How about you bringing yours along too
