Here is my first tentative steps at weathering a model tank. I still have the tracks to do, as I haven't the metal ones yet, plus, every time I look at the model, I think that it just needs a bit more here and there?
I think that looks superb. The best way to deal with your first weathering project is to do a little then live with it for a while. if you think it needs a bit more then add it but be very cautious of falling into the very common trap of doing too much.
As it stand it looks very effective and thew spare tracks look very effective. Nice job.

Yes, the King Tiger is full option, with all the bells and whistles. But this weathering, its hard to stop, you just can't help but add more and more? so its now the tank is in the bedroom away from temptation. I have done no weathering on the Tiger 1 "yet", thought i'd wait till I was "A bit better" at the art before attempting it.
I will have to post some pictures to show how it looks now?
