Talking WIP: Hobby Boss 1/48th T34-85

Ok, these are a few pictures of my new tank. So far it seems excellent value for money (£11.00 for 400 plastic bits and photoetch!!) This, unlike tamiya 1/48th tanks, is cheaper, and has a FULL interior!
I have started work for about two weeks, an have only just taken some pictures, So far, I have bout the engine, which is fully detailed, and i have seen less detailed 1/24th engines. And the interior, which according to my reference is correct. So to work:

The Interior was assembled, painted according to my reference (and imagination!) and then weathered. Hobby Boss suplies very little in the way of painting instructions. If you spot any major inacuaracies, please comment and point them out. The ammo crates on the floor (i think thats what they are?) were painted with green and feild gray, and then drybrushed with shades of brown and yellow mixed with blue-gray.

The engine and gearbox were assembled in much the same way, and painter steel and them wathered with black whashes, and drybrushed copper and rust. This was also done on the gearbox and fan.

I think this is a scaled down trumpeter 1/16th kit, which would maybe explain the detail! (would love to get one sometime, but i doubt i have space for it!!)

Smile Figures!

Ok, i have finished resculpting the driver of the tank. I am working on the operator next!
Ok so i cut half a trashed german driver, and cut his legs off and then cut the legs apart, sanded them to the right shape, and glued them back with 5 min epox putty.
He was then sanded and painted.
Here he is

Front

Back
See you later.
