no probs dave, just a couple hints m8

first of all i would replace the spring on the brake rod, teh brakes are not very good, replace it with a short peice of fuel line, gives a much better control. secondly i would remove all servo`s and put a layer of insulating tape around the seam of teh servo`s where the two halves join, this will prevent a lot of water getting in .
and i would highly recomend a 6v hump pack nicad for the sevo`s. very well spenty and should last a good 4-5 hours .

other than that , just aim to get it as dirty as possible

lookin forward to seeing some pics

ADZ..

hi dave,
not really problems only things that have broken over time,

I would keep a spare lower wishbone in your toolbox, after doing 20 feet jumps for nearly an hour, a small glancig blow by a 2 inch stone wiped out my lower arm ( the lower arms are the same for the front or rear about £8 for a set)

also , if you haven`t done so already i would purchase a cordless drill for starting, in bith mine and a friends mta4 after a few runs the fuel soaks the pull cord and teh knowt slips , then the cord comes right out, starting with a drill is fasster and easier anyway.

Do NOT !! strip the gear box unless essential, the drive cups for the front to rear propshats are VERY TIGHT and have loctite on them , making them impossible to remove with cutting.

other wise keep it clean and a drop of oil on the bearings after cleaning .and it should be very reliable and give no probs,.

the brake is not very good, but the fuel line tip i gave you earlier will make a difference.

LASTLY !!!!1 after every run , go round and check teh security of ALL nuts and bolts, add thread lock to the ones that go into metal.

also check wheel nuts are tight regularly when running, they DO come slack afetr a short period.

Adz..

P.S look HERE to find out how to upload pics.

Hi , do you have a reliable hobby shop that you use for your spares for the MTA4? As i have lost the Front Drive Input Cup (part number - PD1465) , its the grub nut with the pin on the end of it so now its only running rear wheel drive and i cant find anywhere that stocks them. Any Idea's? As i cant play with it until i replace it. Cheers Dave

hi dave, it can take a bit of practice, but try `blipping` the throttle on take off, i havent experienced nose heavy dive, more like `on the roof landings`

just takes practice m8. metals shocks are a good idea, as soon as the threads strip on the plastic shockies they will `pop` more and more often .

have a look on ebay there`s quite a few bits and bobs out there if you want to mod it up,
and also there is a mod up kit available. Hop up kit

cheers
