| Another new edition...... well another new addition to my collection.
and about time this forum lost it`s virginity.
associated MGT/thunder tiger MTA4 truck, absolutely huuuge ! !!!!
tyres ap[rox 7 inches tall !!!
powered by a .21 2 stroke , runs on 16% fuel and i`ve just finnished running her in over 6 tanks. has a two speed gearbox (auto) and reverse, allows 2 speeds in reverse. estimated speed 45 mph, but seems a lot faster as it isn`t really designed to handle like a race car
i`ll try and get some footage uploaded , maybe this weekedn so you can see how she go`s
she`s now been upgraded with ABS

| some more pics of this one ......
i have heavily modified this truk, alloy wishbones, shockies front and rear bumpers.
titanium track rods front and rear, three carbon fibre brake pads with twin ceramic brake disks.
LRP Z .28 engine fitted , ( original is a .21)
the orignial engine had a drill start feature, where a cordless drill is fitted with a hex shaft ( about 8 inches long) , the hex shaft is insterted in teh rear plate into a receptor and teh engine spun over from there, quite nifty and keeps the weight down.this unit also has a pull start incorprated.
at the moment the truck is of the road due to the steering servo going up in a rather impressive plume of smoke !!!!

| What a beast Adz,I have seen these monsters in action, great for any terrain, how do you manage to keep all of that lot clean ? dam dirt gets everywhere eh ! no doubt you have a way of doing it,air-line or something ? do you mean the servo shorted out hence the smoke ?

| they go very well wonwinglo, better of road than on it
cleaning, well, the servo pack is removed with 6 screws as is the gearbox.
making sure you keep away from teh motor it can be easily cleaned with a gentle shower, dried of and a nice light oiling on the bushings.
it seems water got into the servo and this is what caused it to billow smoke
was quite impressive to watch !

| hi dave good to have you here, as for two different versions of the mta4 , idont think so (unless you are talkinga about the MGT ??) but i`l try and find out for you.`l sse a heavily mod`ed ts4n v2 pro mini, with supercharger that a friend of mine `created`. unfortunately now dead .
you`ve picked a good truck in teh MTA4
The Mta4 (thunder tiger) and Mgt (associated) are teh same trucks , apart from very slight differences in bodyshell and graphics. parts are fully interchangeable with each other, HOWEVER ! the associated parts tend to be nearly 50% dearer than the thunder tiger parts.
both trucks are a result of collaberation between the two companies.but are mechanically identical . as is the rc equipment supplied.
need any help dave pm me if you like
cheers
Adz..
