Help - Churchill tank

Hi, i bought a v-e day modelling set, and in it, it has a churchill Tank, and where the tracks are too short they wont join, has anyone any ideas that could help me please.

Assuming that spares for the kit are not available and not knowing the manufacturer my method would be to put the model on a very simple diorama base with the tank sat in mud or soft earth and put the joint at the bottom. I would then arange the mud or soft earth to cover the joint or gap in the tracks at the bottom so that it can't be seen.

I can't think of any other way of dealing with it really but that would work very well.

Sounds like the Airfix one that i have also built. I had the same problem. they are bendy plastic tracks with a nub on one end and hole in the other. i laid mine out flat and hit them with a heat gun then gently pulled them out a couple of mm's. The effort put in wasnt worth the outcome though. Why didnt I think of Bunk's idea.

Bunk's idea is excellent, I'd go for that too. If however you don't want to display it on a base then the only thing I can think of is to rob another (cheaply bought) tank kit of it's tracks - there's bound to be something out there that has similar tracks.

hi, i guled the tracks on to the wheels, because you cant see the top half of the track part!
