Looks like Chieftan to me. I always thought the Chieftan was a really attractive shape, for a tank!

My first ever model at a very tender age was the old Airfix Ajax. I was really pleased with myself as I got the turrets to turn!! I didn't even paint it but I was over the moon with it. That must have been in the region of 45 years ago. Now I'm depressed.

Thanks guys he's read a few of the comments not said much but the playstation seems to be being ignored in favour of the Challenger tank on the workbench.

Cheers Kevin

Hi
The Chieftan was brushed with tamiya water color paint does seem to go on well and washes of his hands easily and the table cloth. I think he's looking at us getting him an airbrush at the ME show next week. That said I think he should keep going with a brush given he does a good job with one.
The Challenger i think is a Mk2 its the Trumpeter model in 1/35 for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Cheers Kevin

Was that a Bakelite kit? I didn't realise plastics went back that far!

Must agree that the Chieftan is a great looking tank - still looks good for it's age...happy memories of getting the Dinky Toy with AEC Tank transporter as an xmas pressie when I was a kid...

Chieftain

Thats a nice looking Chieftain. I have a Tamiya 1:35 Chieftain Mark V painted in olive drab without weathering. And it looks like it just rolled out of the factory. Hope you'll like the picture.
