Kv-1 E 1/72

Hello!
This one was quite a tricky, eventhou this PST is one of the best on the market at KV's. Because i am a nit-picker, I made some modifications and replaced some nits. Some of them were in the wrong position. Even for an out-of-box construction, this would have been a great kit.

I am going to includ it in a diorama and it will be abandoned on a field. Because of the extra weight of the aditional armor, the gear box and the transmision were very faulty. That's why these tanks were useless after running 2000-2400km.
Beside the KV will be a Krupp Protze (Kfz 70 - the personnel carrier).
The weathering it's explainable, because i imagine it abandoned for 1-2 weeks in the Russian fields, and there is a lot of dust.
The cables are made by myself.

I hope you like it and any suggestions will be wellcomed

It's far from perfect, but again, i hope you like it.
Sorry for spelling errors!

Is that masking tape on top of the turret? Is the masking tape going to become something on top or are you still masking something off in the process of being colored. The weathering looks really good for an abandoned tank. I cannot wait to see what the diorama looks like.

Hello!
I thought it might not look like, but it is a rag or what has remained from ones clothing.
I have seen 2 photos with KV-1's that looked like this. There is one more on the right fender.
Anyway, it is debris and it will be more on the ground, but the tank is finished.
Believe me, i can't wait either.

I guess the "rag" is just too bright blue for my taste. If you added a little more dirt to it, and maybe a few tears it might look more like cloth to me. But now that I know what it is supposed to be, it makes more sense .

EDIT: Also, another thing, if the "rag" looked a little more separated from the top of the turret, it might look a tad more life-like. Sorry to sound so critical. :P

No, it's ok. This is what i want to "hear". There are some things wrong at my model and i need to know.
The "rag" (i guess i used the wrong term from the beginning) in fact is very dirty, but the photos aren't showing it. I will consider your opinion.
Indeed, it should be more separated. When i applied it, it sticked there tightly and it was hard separating it from the turret. I will try to make it look better.
Thank you for the feedback

Just trying to help, but then again, one person's distaste is another's cup of tea. If you get more positive feedback as opposed to mine, keep it the way it is . I am sure your diorama will look great nonetheless.
