Tamiya 1/35 Chieftain Mk.5

Here are a few pics of my latest build. I do not normally build in this scale but seems to have turned out ok.

Looks really good, without wanting to sound like a critic (cos it's better than I can do!!) but the first 3 pics looks a bit "shiny".

Firstly a very warm welcome to the forum and many thanks for starting us off with such cracking pictures.

Lovely finishes and very nice weathering techniques combined with some excellent detailed painting all come together to make this a very realistic model. I hope we get to see some more of your work and maybe some descriptions of how you achieve your finishes.

I painted the Chieftain with a Badger 150 airbrush using Tamiya NATO Green and NATO Black acrylic paints. Once dry the model was sprayed with Xtracrylix Flat Varnish. Then came decalling followed by a good coat of Flory Models Light Brown Weathering Wash. Once the wash is dry, clean off the excess with a cloth.

lovely chieftain!!!

lovely weathering job. did you use the dirt brown wash on its own or did you mix it with any of the others to create your own shade?

Richard
