Considering.....

.....buliding the Tamiya - 1/35 FAMO and Tank Transporter, after just getting back into modelling and the call to build armour again growing inside, this jumped out at me for a larger diorama project, there are a few questions I would like answered please:
  • Has anyone bulit this kit, if so could I have your opinion on it?
  • Are there any photo-etched parts available for this model?
  • What sort of German Armour would be in keeping with this model, e.g What would be on the back?
  • When the armour is picked for the trainer, I would like a highly detailed version of said armour, and information about accessories and photo-etched parts available, could you please help?
Also, when weathering tanks, what do people prefer?

I've used Raw Sienna before but have noticed that Tamiya have just released 'weathering kits' that look like make-up cases, has anyone used these and what are their opinion on them?

I again used to have a great deal of trouble with the application of 'decals', well when I say application, what I mean to say is how do I make them look less like 'decals', I know things have moved on in the world of modelling, there has to be something out there, or a tip, to make them look part of the finished model?

All i'm after is answers, if they are forthcoming, to help me build up a picture of exactly what I wish to do for this diorama. In my mind at the minute, it's about the size of a pool table but I should calm down by the time I get round to it!!!!!

Any help in this matter, would be greatly appreciated.
