Do you know what? I've just noticed from this pic that i forgot to paint the shovel on my Kuebelwagen.Shame on me! :) Here's a pic of my jagdpanzer in the making before i botched it up. :)
Evening all!
I've finally got around to posting some of my pics. Bearing in mind i'm an inexperienced modeller, this Tamiya 1/35 Kuebelwagen was my second model ever constructed. I need to go over it a bit and finish off the figures. The other is again Tamiya and is the Bren Gun Carrier - this being my third model ever built. It's really been hit and miss. In some places i've overdone the weathering, in others not enough, used to much pigment but i'm quite satisfied nonetheless :) But all the useful advice here helps me progress from model to model. I've almost finished my Jagdpanzer after a major botch job with the airbrush which i spent all of today addressing :)
I would have my KV-1 but my baby daughter thought she could stand on it like she did on the real one at Moscow's tank museum. I did try to hold back the tears :)
Any critism is welcome and i value everything anyone says as i aspire to be like most of you here.
Enjoy this vast array of... 3 pics :)

Some great detailing I especially like the figures
hi paul, fantastic stuff! Youve done a brilliant job well done. The figures look perfect to me, im just doing the figures on my halftrack and im really struggling with the faces ,if i can get them anywhere near as good as yours ill be happy. keep em coming , cheers tony
Hi Paul, wow that's some excellent work & had you not said that they were your first few models, I doubt anyone would have guessed-that's how good they are. Your figures are also really good, sometimes I think they're the hardest to get right. Do try to get some more pics up, perhaps in the gallery. Your use of OD on the bren carrier is particulaly impressive coz one-colour models are tough to get right. Shame about the Jagdpanzer going wrong-I've had a nightmare masking off my KT with maskol so it's back to the drawing board for me! Patrick
Thanks for the compliments lads. I had no idea i'd get such positive feedback. Yeah, the figures were a pain in the back-side, really. To do the really fine detail i did away with the brush and dipped a cocktail stick in paint with only a tiny bit on the end and dabbed it on to make the buttons and iron cross. i need to get their weapons on and add some varnish. I used enamel for the figures but i'm going to try using acrylics for the faces next time.
Cheers everyone.
Paul
