Finally finished the Tiger II (Henschel turret) and got her up and running so, a few pics of her.

Steel tracks, sprockets, idlers, gearboxes and barrel. Painted in dot/ambush and then weathered using oils and washes.

Looking very smart indeed! :smiling3:

My oldest son bought a R/C Tiger I a couple of years ago and it's a pretty big one. I don't know the scale on top of my head but I'd say bigger than 1/16 for sure.
I've asked him if I'm allowed to paint it for him because it's just in some plain generic "German grey" and he's agreed. Only snag is that we've already applied the decals but I will try to re-wet them and hope for the best...

There's no reason not to paint and weather a R/C model imho!

Thank you Jens, I love these tanks, they are not always 100% accurate but with a new paint job, some weathering and accessories they don't look that bad at all.

I agree with about repainting them, I treat them like any kit-strip, wash, primer, paint, weathering and washes.

Ta mucho Ian, I nearly left this on the shelf having painted about half of it...was getting fed up doing the camo scheme  seemed to take forever :smiling3:
