So here is the progress so far on the tank destroyer... The lower hull. The colors were too stark and new so I toned everything down significantly. Also is some detail of the track weathering so far. I'm not great at camo schemes but I'm also doing it by hand. I didn't reference the pattern from any photograph, but I figure some crew painted something remotely similar! Lol :smiling5:

I hope to paint camo patterns much better by hand someday

Nothing glaringly wrong with that, I’d say. You’ve made a pretty good attempt at reproducing sprayed camouflage with a brush, for one.

thanks jakko, I know some of the lines connecting two colors is a little too crisp still. I left some spatter marks on some colors to represent maybe it was done in a hurry and not so neatly. Just trying to add a little assumed realism. I used a sponge on some of the camouflage blots

I will also admit that I did not apply the blots in several thinned coats, but in one coat each with some washing/filter....sort of a "I knew better but did it anyway kind of thing" Perhaps my camo would have looked a tad better had I built it up instead

Ok so now some playing around with caked on mud detail. I think it looks pretty good so far

Congrats on the hull , like the idea of the lighter mud on the tracks.,very effective. Nothing amiss either with that camo .

Nice to see the different colour tones on the mud. Looking forward to seeing some more progress
