With new found photo tools I've decided to bore to death the members with yet more pics.
Better angles and camera steadying techniques (pile of books) plus ability to now adjust lighting, contrast and color modulation have opened up new horizons to the hobby.

Look out for other re-shoots........Jim;)

Thanks Polux, camera is a Kodak Easy Share V1003 digital, about 10 years old and cost around a hundred dollars or so back then.
It has quite a few settings but I only use close up mode for model pics, other adjustments are made on computer............Jim:smiling3:

Some nice photos there, I always struggle with the lighting issue, sometimes the shadows can mask some of the detail of the model. With close up photography I think it's a good idea to make a light box and get some white light lamps to shine on all sides. One day i may build a proper one or just wimp out and buy one off amazon!

Lighting and color were a major issue, I use a couple of black matte poster boards to block out unwanted back rounds and my studio is the dining room table, only lighting comes from ceiling light.
Steady hand with camera achieved by resting camera on pile of books varying height by adding or removing books (high tech I know).
Rest of adjustments accomplished on computer in my photo files app.

Thanks Polux, I think proper photography makes all the difference (not saying my photos should be considered proper by any means) but so much more can always be done to
enhance ones work.

So many excellent projects on site imo would have much more of an impact if photos actually did said works there proper justice.
Wish I had more time to work on my modeling, being such a perfectionist leads to a kind of malaise on my part because the amount of dedication needed is so time consuming
it makes it hard to sit at bench.

Fear not though as I always see major projects through though at a snails pace:oops:

Photography is not so complicated as may seem, A decent digital camera is essential though (phone cams just won't do imo).
I have "Acer" digital apps and "Bing" for a search engine.

Acer Apps has a photo file section that provides at least a dozen enhancement features so photos can be tweaked and refined to how ever one would want them to be viewed.
I think it' quite remarkable and loads of fun, hence "Camera fun" thread title. Pics should be taken indoors imo where more control of lighting can be achieved, don't sweat the small stuff, so much can be done on app as to make a lousy pic look great;)

Not so difficult at all, even a computer illiterate old goat like me got it down pat in no time at all.

Good luck and happy modeling.........Jim:smiling3:
