I'm just not used to see such clean and un-exploded work from you... :tongue-out:

Is it styrofoam or similar expanded foam you've made the base with?
I need to build something similar I think, to use for snapping those photos instead of a couple white papers...

Thanks Jens, it's a type of foam board called "Ready Board" it's a 1/4 in foam board with paper covering both sides, comes in all collors, the paper that is, foam is always white.
Paper peels right off and you're ready to go. A dulled lead pencil is all you need to create all sorts of effects.

Look up in "dioramas under construction" my "Stalingrad" dio and you will see extensive work with this product... along with some other tid-bits you might find useful...let me know what you think.
