Hi all I have finally made a start on my AS90. The lower hull and suspension went together easily but the locating lugs on the road wheels needed trimming to get them to fit together

Hi all
This is the first trumpeter kit I've ever built and I must admit that even though its not as detailed as say tamiya or dragon its still an enjoyable build.
So far I have added new tie down points and since I want to have the rear open I have made a blackout curtain from milliputt I'm just in the process of scratch building a missing strap on the rear sponson.

Well guys finally managed to get all the parts together and apart from snapping both mirrors off its gone together easily and luckily it looks like the mirrors were removed on the real thing anyway.
I have modified a few bits and pieces like the lampguards and clear styrene rod to the warning lamp and a GPS antenna from styrene strip

Thanks ian
It's some size when you stick the turret onto the hull.
Hopefully should be able to get a coat of primer on tonight

Nothing wrong with phone camera's dude I use mine all the time. The Nikon pic suggests that either the colour balance is on another setting or the colour is set to 'vibrant'.
Nice work on the AS90.

Very nice! Just a bit blue under the flash, but that is camera related.

Model wise, looking very good and I need to do some heavy metal!!:confused::confused::cool::cool:

Hi all here's the latest update on the AS90 the decals were a nightmare to apply the instructions are very poor as to what went where and I had to keep referring to reference photos. Even the bridging weight plate shows the wrong decal the AS90 wieghs 45 tons not 50 as the instructions call for.
The camo nets were made from cotton gauze dyed with olive green paint and PVA then covered with oregano.
