Please can any one tell me what the name of my description is.
It is hand held and model makers use this like a craft knife, only it allows you to cut in a sweeping type movement as if you wanted to cut curves or radii on masking tape etc. I think that they may have instead of a traditional type craft blade a small circular cutter.

I think you mean a wheel cutter, bit like a mini pizza cutter. Having said that, I have seen one where it has a mini blade like a angled modelling knife but it is on a swivel head that allows cutting curves. Mainly used in crafts rather than modelling. Never had either to be honest.

The more common name for these are rotary cutter, well used in textile and vinyl industry.

I once got one of the swivel headed ones that Graham is on about , i thought it might make canopy masking easier , no it didnt! I found it almost impossible to control , waste of money for me.
