The trees look great. How do you make them?
Hi Norm.
The way I make them . The trunks are made from copper wire and covered in Das clay and textured. The palm leaves or fronds, copper wire for the stem with masking tape doubled over and cut to shape to make the leaves. The fruit will be cocnuts which are actually peppercorns and the hair under the lower leaves is the mesh of a dark scouring pad teased apart .
Pete.

So glad I "fell over" this one, Pete
Super work on the Sherman and PE
The figures do look good too, I have a Similar Allied North Africa set from MB for another project
it will be interesting to see how they paint up, as they look good built and with primer
Never tried to paint a camel before, it looks like you can splash the colour.
Hopefully better progress now the weather has calmed down?
Regards
Steve H

Hi Pete
Glad to be able to see this move forward. Lovely job so far. The extra detailing, particularly on the figures is excellent. I don't think I've seen a camel 'done' before - horses, dogs, cats, even bears but not a camel :smiling:
