I am beginning to doubt myself on this.  When I started looking for a Bismarck some time ago, I was told to go with Revell as the Tamiya was not as good.  Someone else mentioned the new Tamiya is an improvement but I never followed it up.  Looking around, I cannot find anything about it so I may have mislead you, sorry.

No problems

If it were any scale then I have a number of 1/700 scale ships begging to be built. Falklands task force and Battle of Denmark straits diorama possibilities.

i do understand though if you want to keep it in the larger scales

Cheers

I think Lee, grumpylee, has a suggestion for a 1/700 GB.

Perfect, I'll swing by there and sign myself up.

Looking forward to seeing some big ships though. I foresee a few 1/200 Trumpy kits in the future?!!!

I'm still trying to get my head around how a Corvette is a Battleship or destroyer, BUT as one has already sneaked in under the radar, I can hardly say no to you.
As long as it is only just started and you will be "unbuilding" it first, Go for it.

And to clarify things a Corvette is an Escort ship that was used with great success in the North Atlantic, but is by far a Battleship. As someone joking asked about a converted fishing ship Well here you have one. The start of the Corvettes used in the NA started life as a deep sea trawler and was converted to a submarine hunter.
It had several machine guns and a 5lb'er (I think it was) for defence and "finishing off". The primary armour was its Banks of depth charges and the infamous hedgehog. It was these coupled with the very effective 'sonar' and radar systems that made it so effective in thwarting the German wolf-packs hunting down the merchant shipping bringing food and supplies over from the USA.
