This is my new project. I have been inspired by the likes of Propeller, Scratch Built, Canister and other to do this. I like building old rally cars but wanted to do something different and in a big scale. You can get a Lancia Stratos in 1/12th but I did not want to do one of those. So I started thinking about Tamiyas 1/10th scale 037 remote control car. I won a car body on Japanese EBay with a decal sheet. Then started to get info together (see photo) I got books, drawings, a copy of the Homologation Papers and lots of photos. This is one of the great things about the internet, you can find so much info. Anyway my plan is to build a 1/10th scale Lancia 037 with opening rear, drivers door and the front to come off. I will be using plastic, resin, fibre glass and vacuum forming parts to build it, will also be having some photo etched parts made. I enjoyed building lots of scratch parts for my MK2 Escort so I thought why not. If you see me doing something and you have a better way please say as I’m new to this. I started by filling the holes that should not be there. Then started cutting the vents in the rear bumper.
