Hi guys,

My 7 year old had a half term project to make a model of the River Nile in Ancient Egypt.

This is what we came up with. :smiling3:

Unfortunately a certain little someone decided to see if the Realistic Water was dry (it wasn't) so one end of the River has some fingerprints.

I can't press like enough times to reflect how much I like what the two of you have done but you've done a fantastic job!!! :smiling:

I hope her teacher understands what she's done? Her classmates will for sure but adults sometimes fail to see the craft involved...

Of course now I have a load of desert diorama stuff left over. Time to build the Abrams. :smiling5:

Cheers Ian. Hopefully she'll get a bucket load of house points, and I'll score some dad points. :smiling3:

I have got a couple of Tigers and a King Tiger in the stash. Did they make it over to Africa? (I just build stuff, I leave the history up to you lot :smiling5:)

Edited to add: a quick Google says that some Tiger 1's were in N Africa, so maybe that's on the cards.:smiling3:

That's a little gem! Congrats to your daughter - even though I'm now jealous!

A few months ago, my nephew was given a school project to create a mediaeval village. Instead of being asked to join in and help, all I got to do was supply a few coffee stirrers for the fencing!:crying::crying:

Tiger 131 was captured in Tunisia so there's a well documented tank for reference but no King Tigers.
Plenty of StuG III, Panzer II, III & IV though, also Sd.Kfz.250, 251, 252, 222, 223, 263 etc and Panzerjäger I and Marder II so there's a lot to choose from when making a DAK diorama ;)

Cheers Dave.

This is by far the best homework any of my kids have had. The older two are now at high school, but littleuns got another 3 years at juniors so hopefully there will be more projects like this. :smiling3:

Thanks for the History lesson Jen's, might just do a Afrika Korps Tiger. :smiling3:

Just followed all the construction of this. Most inspiring thing I've seen on the forum so far. I was a primary school teach for over 35 years and many times was amazed by what could be achieved by focused children with supportive parents. Well done young lady- definitely a 5* effort - and a well done to a very proud parent.
