I have ordered the MPC Moonbase Alpha from Space 1999. Depending how small it is and how dodgy the old hands are I am going to attempt to light this...gulp.

Comes with Eagles too so should be fun...I hope.

Base is 17 inches square so it should be a good size but wouldn't want to try lighting the eagles lol. Scale is listed as 1/2000 but cybermodeller says it is 1/1800 and the model of the control centre that comes with it is 1/115 with 12 figures. Hope you have a good magnifier.

Cheers Andy, will have to have a look when it arrives as to what I can do with the lights, simplest is to drill small holes and light from underneath, but there is always something to cock it all up in modelling.

The Eagles do look far too small to do much with, pity really.

I hope so, had the chance to get this kit for a tenner ages ago and umed and ahed and messed about and missed it, regretted it of course.

Others I have seen have been £25 upto £45 including postage. I put it off and finally thought sod it and got one for £20.

I am rather stocked up by this as I love Space 1999 the series was crap like but the station and Eagles are just so awesome!

This looks good if you make your own base or add your own detail

I'll be on board with this Si (. Know you can pull most sci fi stuff off ) with you'd had done UFO ( really liked that ) think another Gerry Anderson production. As a kid I think I had an Eagle with wasn't it a removable middle?

I know one thing I had a thing for that dr ( Barbara Bain )

Well looking forward to what your gonna do with the moon base
