Hi people, first let me tell you why I can have such a variety of background to my models. I am a photolab technician and so the equipment I look after I can print out just about anything I need as a backdrop for my models, also I can use Photoshop, but only to crop and reinsert forgrounds of a picture. I dont do anything to the model It is what it is and all pictures are taken under natures arklamp Sunshine. All sorts of scales with home built to collectable models. What I try to do is take the picture at the angle you woul be at in a real life scenario. Here is just "Some". Hope you like

Absolutely brilliant. It really is hard to decide with so many of them just whether they are real or a model. What it can tend to do though is deflect your thoughts away from the models as you are so amazed by the complete picture. You can then forget just what superb models they are in their own rights as well!

Many thanks for sharing them all with us, they really are amazing pictures. How you did those night time ones is beyond me but that Lightning must be a real aircraft thrown in to confuse us!!

Wow I'm  , I can't put into words how a simple back drop can have such an effect , do you have to print them out on a special paper ?

Hi Alan ...You see I can get prints done on photographic paper I look on the net for what I need. Another view of the most common setup I use

Thanks all for your comments :smiling3: I said that I can use Photoshop and as you can see this came in very handy when I wanted a backdrop for the Lightning. The first picture is the Lightning at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in front of her hanger doors and thats exactly what I wanted for my model. Some work to do in Photoshop and I have the second picture which I then printed out at a very large size and when my model is placed in front of it gives you the third pic. Simples :smiling3: Ohh and by the way I missed a bit out when removing the plane :smiling3: and no its not a scale of 1/1 but 1/32

I bet you missed that bit of the Lightning just to line your one up properly. Nice work all round, they are very well done.

Superb photography and builds I would defy anyone to tell the difference between models and real, but, of course that is also down to your modeling skills
