Thanks all.
The Lancer was a project from some time ago. A Miniaturas Andrea figure. I found another manufacturer that made Crimean subjects, bought most of them, then Historex sold out and I can't remember who they were.
It's an under-represented period, which surprises me.
So much modelling potential from that military cock-up; if anyone knows of a supplier that makes good 54mm figures of that conflict, please let me know.

What a beauty Dave:smiling2:.
I remember doing an article for military modelcraft international on painting tartan back in the 90's.

Thanks very much.
It wasn't as bad as I expected (the tartan), but that's the last time!

Beautiful work Dave. Even though the tartan was a challenge you won hands done. I really like it a lot and he will sit well with the rest of your top notch builds. Well done mate:thumb2:

Next project. A kind of memory-jogger to get back into Aircraft Mode.
One nice thing about building planes is that I get to listen to music, since the subtlety of light vs. dark is less critical. And it's bloody cold in the conservatory at this time of year.
So, the spare room beckons and the compressor will be brought out of the wardrobe.
Jazz, babe.
Lots of jazz.
'Nice...'
