Hey guys. I went to the World War 2 weekend again this year with my dad. Here's some pics and videos. Enjoy!

They had some good stuff there, not as many as when i was there 2 years ago. There was supposed to be a Spitfire but that wasn't there. The B-29 was called Fifi i think. They were saying it's the only functioning/flying B-29 in the world. You could go for rides in the Mustang for $1,500 for 20 minutes in the air. The Dauntless was also available for rides but that was only $700 for 20 minutes.

They had some good vehicles there. I'm not sure if the half tracks were authentic or replicas, but they looked cool. Major Dick Winters from Band of Brothers fame lived close by to the area, and his jacket was on display. That was pretty special. The tarp with all of the regiment insiginias was a grouping of all (or most) of the regiments that served in Europe. My grandfather's is the Railsplitters (artillery support) which is 2 right of the 82nd Airborne patch.

The other Mustang I have shown is the "Kwitcherbitchin". Quite possibly the best name I've seen on a Mustang.

That Sturmgeschuetz is a reproduction made on a postwar troop carrier chassis and is the bane of the reenacting community. It is a very poor quality reproduction and is what we reenactors call "farby" (short for "far be it from accurate"). if anyone is interested in pictures of original world war two vehicles, equipment, uniforms, cannons, etc, I can take pictures of anything from Hetzers to Flak cannons to German Uniforms.
