Hi all, it was my birthday today (November 3rd) and my boss got me a Revell '70 Ford Turino GT.

It's a great looking car indeed and even has some PE parts included in the kit.

The decision I have is what colour to paint it. Thought I'd ask here for opinions/ ideas!

I may yet do that, but I like to get the body painted a good number of weeks before I build a kit so that it has lots of time to fully dry so that it doesn't scratch so easily during the build.

My boss just yells at me and orders me to run up hills all day! So when I say, wow youve got a great boss, I mean

Wow you have a super duper boss!

Update on the Turino, I have decided on candy green with a green interior. I will post some pictures in a few days.

A few pics of the interior, far from finished but you hopefully get the idea. Sorry about the poor quality of the pic's but it's the best my phone will do in artificial light. IMG_20161201_230718.jpg IMG_20161201_230739.jpg IMG_20161201_230800.jpg

Progress on this build has been slower than I want but it's a very busy time of the year.

Some pics of the almost complete interior, have done a bit of foiling to it and the engine which still has a good few tens of hours work to do on it to get it just how I want it.IMG_20161215_233509.jpg IMG_20161215_233606.jpg IMG_20161215_233606.jpg IMG_20161215_233758.jpg IMG_20161215_233744.jpg IMG_20161215_233809.jpg

I had a bit of a disaster with the paintwork on the roof, something, I don't know what managed to burn a small hole in it. I have sanded the entire roof back and started it again, pics will follow in a few days.

Looking good.
I like the green colour on the seats ;)

Thanx, I have based it on the original green interior but have used some "artistic license" to make it look a bit more varied.

Thanx Monica.

Looking good Rik, pity about the roof though

It was a bit of a pain but the paintwork is almost fixed now. Bit of sanding to blend it all back in and it should soon look as if nothing happened.
