Here's some more pictures of my Puma. The Tiger stripes have been applied along with the sqn markings on the cockpit doors. There are some more to add including the Tiger's head on the nose panel along with the standard aircraft decals and placards.

I still have the RWR antennae on the noe and landing gear to do as well as a coat of sealing varnish, main and tail rotors (nearly complete).

Dunno where my original thread went.........

Nice work Rick. I can't find your older build thread for this one either, it has just disappeared.

This build is complete but I haven't taken any pictures yet. You see some on the IPMS Farnborough website.

So what did I get from this;

  1. Model helicopters are as much a pain to work with as the real thing.
  2. Enamel paints aren't all bad -BUT - Humbrol paint made in China is to be avoided....note the slight silvering on the darker shade of camouflage green. It's the paint!
  3. Old Airfix kits are still old and it shows.
  4. I used fine thread to make HF aerials for the first time....ever!
  5. I came second in our monthly informal competition.

Good to see you back and to learn that the Puma is done. And what a result! Well done.

I hope that you can get some photos up on here as well. Its well worth looking at.

Humbrol have brought all paint productions back to the UK. It would seem there was a truck load of complaints and the sales figures confirmed them.
