so after 6 months without a bench or the ability to do anything involving plastic ive finally got things in order...must admit ive been climbing the walls with boredom cos ive not been able to bodge plastic!

thought id better do something pretty simple to get back into the swing of it

about 18 months ago i did a desert dio with a selection of the Airfix Operation Herrick vehicles.....i didnt do the Snatch Land Rover cos it seems a little out of place with the WMIK and Coyote

for those that dont know the Snatch is a lightly armoured patrol version of the LR, dating back to the troubles in Northern Ireland

given the sprues a light coat of grey primer

I'll sit on this one Paul.
I fancy doing one of these old warhorses one day.

got to say i wish i hadnt started this

not the nicest of kits and ive had to do bits of surgery to make things fit....not as good as the WMIK Landie that came with it in the box

After a fast saw at the sprues, you can see, that not will be an easy build....that's a shame!

Anyway your one is looking good. Keep the work coming ;)

current state of play......

made a schoolboy error! put on a gloss coat so i could put on the decals, then forgot to go over with a matt top coat before i added the 'glass' .......but ive added a wash since i took the pic and its took the shine off it all

next step fit the last few bits and bobs then some sand in the nooks and crannies to weather it

be glad when its done but i want to see it through

Looks God to me. It's a Land rover and if Polux likes it, it must be a good one.
