Building them in steps together, so will see how it goes, takom definitely an easier build than the shilka-

5 part wheels, sanded down the very prominent rib details about an hours work !

I did think that, but a very thin part of the wheel rim is on the tyre part, so would still need masking just for about 1mm, may as well mask the whole lot together, if i even do. These days if i get some paint into the hub , upto the edge, i am happy as weathering 'destroys' the neat line. :smiling:

Drive Sprockets

Detail is sharp, big problem is when you join both halves together, there is a locating plug, which is to long for the notch so needs sanding back and when you do join both sides together, there is that much play its silly, so you have to line up things by eye and then I made sure the teeth lined up by placing upright on the table and ensuring two teeth on each side touched the desk

Same issue as with the drive sprockets

Multi part mount

Looks really good made from 3 pieces (separate brake ?). easier to build the unit on the tank to make sure all the bits line up together.

Now theirs an idea, maybe a 1/144 Intruder or Phantom placed in the rear of a dio so at 'viewing' height looks right - loosing of a missile/ bomb, hmmmmm
