While in York celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary I came across 3 model kits in 1/35 by Tamiya
1/35 Stug iii with short barrel ( metal barrel included )
1/35 Valentine
1/35 Crusader

I have also ordered 2 rifled metal barrels to go with the latter two ( 2pdr ( 40mm)
I have to blame Dubster in a way as I've really taken a shine to Armour and AFV since I started his KT 2 build
Pics of kits precured but still to be delivered
I'm so excited

Very nice. :smiling3:

I particularly like the Stug, might have to get that one.

I have a Hetzer 38T in my stash too and looking at the Stug they are both similar in design principle and speck ( just The Hetzer was based on a 38T chassis and the gun barrel longer but of the same cal ?

Good kits.
you'll have a barrel spare though. The Crusader Mk.III is a 6pdr armed tank.

Yeah I got a metal barrel of the 6pdr with the counter weight on the end
Small turret fit the big ass gun. I read the commander had to double as a loader too ( not good )
Thank Christ they evolved to Cromwell eh and then the better Comet
Still the Valentine even with the liberty engine had a few variants as a good chassis
I read the Crusader evolved into an AA tank

I think 'evolved' into AA is the wrong word. By the time they got to action there was hardly any Luftwaffe to shoot at! Still, more models :smiling3:
