After my extended absence from the forum and modelling. I've decided to kick off with this one. Fine Moulds "Tie Interceptor" 1/72. Never built a "Star Wars" jobbie. So we'll see if I can make a half decent job of it O.o

To start off a few shots from the box. Not a lot to this one, so it shouldn't take much to nail it together. It's all going to come down to the finishing. :S . The destructions are all in Chinese or Japanese or somesuch, but I'll manage. The parts have quite a lot of fine detail and seem to be well moulded. Not any sink marks that I can see. So here goes. There are masks included for the two clear parts which is handy. The last sprue is for the "naff" stand which I won't use. I have other ideas for that.

I've made a start on this. Nearly have the cockpit done. There ain't much to it a and what's there probably won't be seen much anyway. I'll probably post a couple of pictures tomorrow.

But now I have  dilemma? This little puppy is ripe for a small dio . But I keep changing my mind. Do I .......

A. Have itgrey in a hanger dip

B. Have it grey and crash landed

C. Paint it RED as one of Emperor Palpatine`s Royal Bodyguard Flight.

Cheers

Thanks Monica. Luckily there was no face detail to paint. These pilots wear a black "Full Face" mask. Similar to the Stormtroopers.

The original Trilogy had something special about it.......... Not sure about the newer stuff though.

This thing is going to stretch both my patience and limited skill. I've done the base colour and I'm now looking at detailing. There are a mass of pipes, electrical stuff and there is no way I can figure to mask any of it.......... So it's going to be freehand.................. and it is going to be slow going. I was going to start this evening, but decided I'm not in the mood.

Cheers

Thanks guys. I've made some progress on the detailling. Slow work. I'm just waiting on the "flat coat" to dry off and I'll post a couple of progress piccies.
