I think that's the same kit as John's Revell one, the production version that followed my one.

If it is much the same Tommy, watch out for a couple of points that I've encountered.

There aren't many positive mounting points, often just a scribed outline. This means you need a steady hand when positioning parts ;)

Also, watch for the positioning of the return roller fixings. I mistakenly put one of mine in the wrong place! After checking the instructions, I realised I should have sanded off the extra positional marking.

Thanks guys and Monica;) nice to have you along for this build.

Hi Patrick thanks for the heads up fella, just started the build earlier, I've already come across a small problem, and I've become a victim to the carpet monster:eek:

What's the problem & what have you lost? Maybe I've something in the spares box to help you out

Great choice. In thought I had one in the stash but I don't  Found a Stug I didn't know I had though :D

Hi Patrick I encountered a small problem whilst trying to fix parts E3 to the lower hull, I had to open out all of the holes on the lower hull to be able to do this:eek:

I also had a small issue with a lost part C14 to the carpet monster:mad:

Hi Graham thanks mate, shame about the Stug, perhaps you could trade it for a Jagdpanzer or Hetzer or something else on the list that's acceptable for the build;)

I found the fit of all my bogie parts were a challenge.. for me it was a residue of plastic in the holes so a bit of work with the Dremel sorted that.

I wouldn't worry about C 14, I can't imagine anyone would notice the omission ;)

Started the build, with the lower hull being mostly done, I have now started to crack on with the upper hull;)at the moment I`m in two minds as to whether I should being adding Zimmerit to this beast, as most pics I have seen of the earlier versions had zimmerit on them, but if I do, I do, and if not...well:rolleyes:

Wow this is like deja vu! When you come to add the mantlet cover Tommy, fit the driver's viewing block first.

It's both easier that way & provides an extra guide to fitting the mantlet cover. Mine was a bit wobbly ;)
