If that was made out of cardboard this build has gone up several more notches in my estimations.....just superb finishing.

As said above, very realistic and convincing. I have saved the rust tutorial.

How did you do the flaking etc. in the coupling for joining the trailer to the road hauling vehicle?

Great to hear it. The flaking, could be done with the salt technique or liquid mask(you can get this artist product at art/stationary stores. It is a rebbery substance that acts like a protective barrier between the area, you want to protect, froma second coat.
