I've now got the base colours on View attachment 121568

I've painted the back of the thrusters in gunmetal and given them a black wash and will finish them off with a dry brush of steel to add some detail View attachment 121569

started the splinter camo and I'm quite pleased with the lines as they are free hand , I've got to get some different colours to finish off the tail:smiling3:

Cheers moni glad to have you onboard:smiling3:

When I was looking at scales I read that these were 28mm but they aren't they are 40 mm so it's just a tad smaller that 1/48 which I think is 43mm so you can get away with 1/48 figures , nose to tail this is 12 inches long, this is only my second kit and although they look good this one is a bit fiddly , instructions don't help as they do leave bits out and this leaves you wondering why pieces don't fit together as they should, also this kit is off centre , the engines can only go in one position but it throws out one side by a millimetre or so and this can give you problems later on when attaching the air intakes but these are just little anoances and its best to dry fit first

I've now finished the pin wash on the other side, just the back stabiliser and underneath and it's the fun bit od distressing to give it a well used look :smiling3:
