My fondest memory of a land rover was in 78 my brother in law was in the Royal green jackets and he took me and my brother over Salisbury plains in a short wheel base army spec , the most uncomfortable ride ever but we loved it

It seemed like we were going at 100 mph but we was probably only doing about 20

I started to drive at the age of eighteen, now I’m forty two....and during this period I bought three new Land Rovers.

One 90 (short version) and two 110 (long version).

Apart I am a “REAL” Land Rover Die-Cast collector. I collect only the classic versions (Series and Defender). Is my hobby, and sometimes inclusive, I travelling at France and other places searching for ancient toys events :smiling3:

This is my favourite Land Rover.

The Series II or Series III 109 Soft Top ;)

Seems this colour mixed with the dust of the desert and the light, as well, becomes very effective :smiling3:

And maybe is true...because when I painted mine, and then add the pigments...the colour changes and looks very nice :smiling3:

Thanks Polux, I feel that Landies need that bit of kick in the beefing up department ;)

Maybe time for a Landrover Sig or GB? Have to admit I have never owned one, never had a full driving licence except for motorbike. However, the Landrover is truly the only vehicle I have lusted over with just a passing fantasy for a 2CV.
