Scale details for models-Seat belts

You can learn a lot from looking at your fellow modellers models closely,I noticed a detailed interior on a model of a Hawker Hurricane, the pilot had a replica of the old Sutton harness complete with a seat buckle,it looked so good that I asked the builder how he did it ? the reply was masking tape, ordinary standard masking tape that had been folded over and cut into strips, the seat buckles were made from alloy wire folded over and tapped lightly with a small hammer, these were then stuck in place with cyno, the straps given a coat of matt cream.
The overall effect was superb and I for one will certainly copy this simple idea next time.
