Construction of the SD.Kfz 250/3 Papermodel

Hello all!

I have started a new papermodel.It's the sd.kfz 250/3 in 1:16 from GPM.
This will go into a diorama together with the Kübelwagen and a PAK cannon.
So here it starts!
A picture of the book.

I decided to start with the radio stack.
The drawings of the parts.

I wanted to make the frame of 1,5mm brass wire.

Parts to be used.

Here I have cutted out the framework for the inne frame of the stack and started to assemble one of the radio units

The frames are done, and only the rest of the radio units to finish.

All parts done

And all put together

Next will be building of the main structure....

Interesting to see here how this compares with plastic. Here the construction is everything and the painting is almost nothing but with plastic this would be maybe a few peices but the paintint would be what was required to bring it to life.

Fascinating stuff and very enjoyable to watch.

Is the Kubelwagon finished yet or have I missed something?

Started to build the bottom of the main structure.
The drawing

The parts are glued to 1mm karton, and the top of the two side pieces are sanded to get an angle for the inside cover.

The cover for the bottom are cutted out.

And glued to the bottom. And the piece for the underside of the engine is made ready to glu into the "hole".So far the fitting of the parts has been very good.

So over to the inside of the vehicle.
The first part of the inside is the floor.

And a support for the radiostack and some other parts was to be made.
Drawing of that part.

Parts are glued to 1mm karton, kutted out and assembled.

The covers are glued together and everything putted into place to see how it all fit.

The bottom cover in the engine room.

Next will be the engine and the radiator.

The engine

Hello guys! In awe or in office

The engine was made today. It looked a lot harder than it was.....
The assembly was to first put together the "block" and then put all the other parts .

First the engine block.

And when that is put together it looks like this.

The rest of the parts waiting to be cutted out.

And when all the parts are glued in place we have an engine.
