Hello!

I have started to make what will be a small winterscene.
My idea is to have the T40 standing in front of a small house.

The tank will be standing in a snow covered road with dirty/slushy tracks.Around the house there will be snowpiles and the window will be frostbiten.

The corrugated roof are covered with snow.

Some details.
The window will have a tiny layer of ice in the lower corners.
The edge will have snow "blown" around the corner (If I can manage to make the effect)
And the door will be grey as the rest of the house.

I will also make a back wall to cover the back side and maybe some interior that can be seen through the window.Typical a table and chairs.
A snow shuffle will be placed up against the wall.
This is just ideas, and my ideas have the tendency to change during the build process,so It might be something totally different....

Now I'm working on the wheels. One side is done.

I have also started to puzzle with the lasertracks.

I was looking at some T40's I found on the net , and they seemed to have a sort of greyish color on the tracks. So my plan is to have the grey as a basecolor and add some mud pigments and some other dirt in the end.

The base is to narrow.....
I have to buy me another frame tomorrow, but you'll get the idea of how it will look.

In reply to Jankers Post above,

Chrome SolarTrim also works very well for this sort of thing and it is self adhesive too and with a little heat will do compound curves too. I used it inside the Headlamp housings I on the Nissan Skyline I built for my Nephew. These are working Headlights and with the white Neons reflecting off the Chrome Solartrim, the headlights are extremely bright and very effective when driving the car at night.

The attached pic shows one of the headlamps actually working well - in daylight !!

Regards......Mark

Now I have all roadwheels in place.

I have also tried to change the color on the tracks according to some tips I got It's not the easiest thing to be colorblind in this game.....

I also got a bigger base for the small dio.
As you can see I haven't added the trackmarks in the road yet.

Trackmarks will be simulated by adding dirt to the wheelmarks in the road, and by placing a tracklink on a stick and push it against the road. I hope that should do the trick.

Continuing with the tracks.
Here are the parts involved.

The front side done

Back side in turn

I have also been experimenting with making ice.....

And don't eat yellow snow!!

Ice in the window corners.

An overview. First layer of dirty tracks made. I will add more snow and more dirt when this is dry.
