Looking good Rich very nice detail painting and to small for my eyes to do and I look forward to seeing more,I have a few kits that I haven't built yet but had them for years.
ah. most of the detail is eduards p/e set. i cant take credit for that lol.
here are some more pics. finished the other 2 cargo seats today now i have to do the sound proofing on the interior walls and a few other p/e bits that go on the inside walls.
hopefully i will have the soundproofing done tonight so i will get some more pics up then.

Nice detail for 1/72nd Richard. Are you going to have a crack at some figures?
When I made the bridge figures for the Revel Sub I really enjoyed making the most of them and it made me think back to the days of Airfix pilots when I was a teenager. They would be lucky to get a solid colour all over, a pair of black boots and a blob of "Flesh" paint as a face.
I have to say though the Historex figures were superbly moulded and made detail painting that bit easier.

yea it is very nice detail. really brings the kit to life. im thinking about figures, but not pilots. i have added a box of flares to one of the seats by the cargo door so im thinking about maybe some carrier deck crew or something as it is going to be displayed with its blades swepts back and tail folded

ok, just about ready to stick the two sides together. just got to do the bits of soundproofing around the windows. il do that tomorrow,
here are some pics of the two sides before and after the detail. also a little shot of the over head intrument panel that no one but me will se but i know its there so its all good lol. the tops of the canopy are painted with tamiyas X-19 "Smoke" (and they are not holes in the paint, just reflections from my light lol) also a shot of the front landing gear. got a few bits to touch up there and add some more detail. will try and make the landing lights a bit more shiny as well.
before anyone says anything, yes i know the cross-hatching on the sound proofing are different scales on each side. It took quite a few attempts and hacking up to get the right shapes so the kit still fits together and it was all done free hand so in the end i said sod it, its only 1/72 scale and who is really going to notice. to be honest even the smaller ones are about 2x too big but any smaller would have been almost impossible. what i have gives the right appearence and texture so im happy!
