1 done, 1 to go.

Hello! Some time ago i posted a thread about applying paint. Now i am posting pictures on how things went when i tried out two painting techniques.

First i used my traditional brush. The aircraft model is a P-51D Mustang from the Swedish Airforce, as you can see on the three yellow crowns.

The second model is yet under painting and all parts arn't put together yet. I worked out a technique on my own wich was that i didn't apply any loos parts like armament, landing gear etc.

This is the result of a 20 minute airbrush spraying (NOTE: It's the first time i use it and it's a real cheap one, so don't be too critical on it)

The model Aircraft is a SAAB 37 Viggen used by the Swedish Airforce as well.

I also have one SAAB Draken coming up, just need to get the finishing layer of paint and the decals. Picture will come up when it's done!

I am sorry for the bad quality on the pictures because they're taken with a mobile phone. I will take better pictures when i can.

Regards
Linush,

Well they're both looking OK from here, but it would be good to see them in greater detail.

What colour scheme will the Draakens be?

The SAAB Draken will have the color scheme of the one that served in F10. The Humbrol colors are 11(silver), 123(Satin Extra Dark Sea Geay), 163(Satin Dark Grey), 85(Satin Coal black) and 165(Satin Medium Sea Grey).

Here you can see the armament and landing gear. The bombs and missiles are painted in 34(Matt white) and you can also see i've used 11(Silver) and 165(Satin Medium Sea Grey).

And here you can see it in Profile. The scheme it self is a camoflage of 163 and 165.

I am really sorry about the quality of the pictures. The camera on my mobilephone is only 2.0 megapixels and our digital camera isn't very better. I am currently looking to buy another one that is better.

That Swedish P-51 looks good in that colourscheme.
